Lovely book

This is a beautiful book. What a pleasure to read the Christmas story while looking at Medieval picutres depicting the events.

A lovely book!

A very lovely interpretation of the Christmas story, told through medieval illuminations and scripture verse. A wonderful book for the lover of all things medieval! There is an index for every painting at the back of the book, listing title and full history. Beautiful as a picture book to read the Christmas story to a child, or to oneself on Christmas Eve!
