Very Helpful Resource

When I spent a summer doing an emergency room internship on the Arizona/Sonora border, I brought this book -- Good thing I did! While one needs a working knowledge of Spanish to find it truly useful, it is a great resource for those unfamiliar with the Spanish medical vocabulary. The dictionary at the back of the book is easier to use than a conventional one, since it includes only the relevant medical terms. The lessons and labeled diagrams are great for students because, if one already understands the anatomy, one can learn all the Spanish terms without simply memorizing them. The one thing I would like to have seen that was absent in this book was a guide to regional vocabulary differences. Overall, though, I highly recommend it.
