Action-packed, sensual and fun, The Man Behind the Badge is a great book from new author Vickie Taylor. Jason is a hunk I'd die to fight crime with and Lane is the smart, gutsy, think-on-her-feet heroine I dream of being. Excellent read. Can't wait for Vickie's next!

A great book with non-stop action and sizzling romance.

If you like sexy undercover FBI agents, then you'll fall in love with Jason Stateler, a hardened agent who's still blaming himself for the death of his female partner, although it wasn't his fault. He doesn't want to ever become emotionally involved with another woman, but he doesn't count on the allure of Lane McCullough, a beautiful detective with her own share of personal guilt. Neither wants involvement, but from the first explosive moment when they meet, the sparks fly. Jason thinks Lane has crashed his undercover operation, while she thinks the investigation belongs to her. Each wants to work the case alone, but their superior officers decide they should work together.
