Lights, Action, Lily by Nancie Rue is all about Lily and her dream. Lily wishes she were an actress on the big screen. She has a problem with a boy named Shad Shifferdecker. Lily is the protagonist and Shad is the boy that has the most conflict with Lily. The story starts out with Lily and Shad having a disagreement. Mrs. Reinhold saw and heard them so she invited them to do a Shakespeare play together, to settle their conflict. Lily didn't like this idea because she was afraid that Shad was not going to take his role seriously which would get in the way of her becoming an actress. All of a sudden, two days before the big play, she gets sick. Her friend Kresha does the play for her. The funny thing is Shad got the best actor award for his role in the play. Lily was happy for everyone in the play but she was sad because she worked so hard and didn't get to do it. Luckily, they were going to do the play in front of the school. She was happy that she got to do the play. This all mainly happens at Lily's school and could happen during present time. During all of this, Lily's mother tells her to pray for her enemies and everything will be okay. I liked this book because it taught me a lesson (theme) and it's a great story. There's a whole series of these books (Lily series) and I am going to try to read them all.

Definately a good book!

This book(and all of the other Lily books by Nancy Rue, I've read all of them) is a fantastic book for girls who do, or don't know Jesus. It teaches a valuble lesson about friendship, and that God has a plan for you and whatever happens, happens. It is a fantastic book, and I would recommend it very strongly.
