Life in India during the 1950's and 60's was so very different from that of the western world. What we did as kids, and considered normal, those in the west would consider downright dangerous and would stop their kids taking part in such activities. How many kids have been subjected to war at such an early age? And how many have witnessed a hanging before they were twelve? The lists could go on and on but the important thing is that we coped with all that and did not have society or the law taking action against parents when that very society has no real understanding about the quality of life because kids these days spend a lot of time in their bedrooms on their phones surfacing the internet and getting themselves into all sorts of trouble, many of which are caused by fraudsters on line. We in India enjoyed a very different and happy lifestyle. This book covers our lives during the 1950's and 60's and its intention is to bring to light the other side of our lives that we led to the full.
