Central America Student Travel Guide

This book is meant as a guide mostly for students who travel to Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. It is not possible to cover three countries, no matter how small in size, in 326 pages. The book is not an exhaustive guide, but touches on the most useful information, and meant for the adventurous young people. Only the major tourist attractions are covered. Entries on each country has information on essential documents needed, embassies and consulates, tourist offices, transportation, border crossings, language and safety. Programs of studies by the host countries as well as United States are listed. Major areas of attractions, their histories, tourist and financial services, local services, emergency and communications, accommodations, food, sights, shopping, entertainment, nightlife, and other useful information are included. Written by Harvard university undergraduates, this book is for young people traveling out of a back-pack. It is not for the older traveler looking for comfort and luxury.
