A standard

I just recently found this book again on my shelf. I got this when my dog was a puppy in 1995. Now that she's almost 11, I decided to get it out to look at the section on older dogs. This book is designed for anyone who has or has ever had a dog. It's written clearly enough that any age can appreciate it, and the pictures are also a big plus. Nearly every topic is covered, and the book can span the life of your dog from before you buy him or her to the day they die...there's that much information.

Become a Dog Expert!

I read this book not because I own a dog but to review this book for my classroom. I loved it! I have never owned a dog so I lack experience in ownership. This allows me access to practical information my students may need about dog ownership. It is a fun book to read and learn about dogs. I'm glad I bought it and recommend others to buy it too! (If they can find it.)

Good For Behaviour

This is a quick and easy guide for the basics in dog body language and the pictures are great. I would recomend this book to anyone in the dog care business or for personal use.

Good book for a dog lover

This book is very good the pictures are great and for someone that would like to know a little more about dog body language this would be a great book to have. or if you don't understand your dogs behaviour with other dogs this book may help you.

this book is true to its title!

If you want to "read" your dog, get this book! It is very informative and the pictures are great. I learned a lot about my beagle's behavior (ie. submissive vs. aggressive behavior) from looking at the pictures!
