Ten years ago, in the small northern B.C. town of Isinbury, Jane Beckett's best friend went missing and was never found. Months later, her father died mysteriously on a solo camping trip in the Rocky Mountains.

Now a 29-year-old witty, disabled and brave homicide detective, Jane returns to her hometown that she's avoided for over a decade to solve a series of murders. But being back home brings up dark memories for Jane and questions she's been too afraid to ask until now.
