Somebody Think

Look at these people, complaining that there isn't any proof provided in the way of corroborative evidence! Funny how people think they deserve something like this. Folks, OUR BUDDY JOEY MURDERED PEOPLE FOR A LIVING! Why would he, (or should he) provide readers the noose that would hang him? Still, there is plenty here with the ring of truth to it - running into Lenny Bruce shlocked out of his gourd on smack (Lenny worked at dive clubs owned by people like this), and the way women would get nauseous after having sex with him when he went from dangerous the night before to the stark realization of what he did as the sun rose the morning after to just mention 2 examples. A great book, rare in the genre. I still have 'Killer'. Oh yes, never run the car radio while waiting for your mark, bring a portable. When Joey hit somebody, they never got a chance to see his face.

Joey is not the most important factor

Joeys existence is not the most important or fun factor of this book. The most interesting aspect is the detailed description of normal everyday mob activities. Gambling , Loansharking , bribery. This book was a very interesting introduction into what the mafia is really like. I enjoyed every page and stopped reading the book I was reading prior because I became hooked to this one. A very good book if your interested in the complexities of playing the numbers , loan sharking or any mob activities. Worth the $$$ as much as any book.

a good read, [imitation] or not....

I'm not sure if "Joey" is a real guy or what, but the book was quite entertaining regardless. It details the life of a mafia hit-man. Each chapter tends to deal with a differnt aspect of the mafia and how they impacted his life. I found it an enjoyable read, and would recommend it to someone with interst in the mafia.

I Got Clipped By Joey

This was a very fun introduction to the world of the mafia. It is light hearted and is very insightful. I am not sure if Joey exists but some of the facts standing up. Like the 'meat hook kill' I have heard other sources report on this and also it tells you a lot about the various strains of the mob business. So if you have a keen interest in the Italian mafia or just organised crime check this book out you will not be disappointed!

Joy the HITMAN

Joey with the help of Mr.David Fisher tells one of the best stories about a mafia hitman i've read in awhile. He tells about some of the 30 plus hits he had under his belt.Like you would order a meal.Even telling jokes about things as he has done. And a little mob humor.Even though he is a killer i came to like joey.
