In Our Own Words: An Anthology of Poetry and Prose by Alabama Students

Open to all Alabama students in grades 7-12, the 2015 Rocket City Lit Fest in Huntsville, AL held a Student Writing Competition to celebrate the unbridled creativity of Alabama's youth. Students from all over the region submitted heartfelt, inspiring, and imaginative works of short story and prose. Included in this anthology are the top eighteen selections of poetry and prose as chosen by our team of judges. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be given to the schools attended by the two overall highest-ranked selections. These schools are Liberty Middle School and Bob Jones High School.
