convinced me

I recieved this book from a college I applied to because I listed interest in pre-med. Although I didn't go to the college, this book is one of the things that have continued to encourage me in my pursuit of becoming a physician. I highly recommend this book because it is honest and joyful in the face of what most people only find tragic.

Excellent!!! Thoughtful written, and spritually uplifting!!!

As a parent of a daughter with brain cancer, I have read every book I can get my hands on about cancer, doctors, etc. This book is beautifully written, by a doctor who has such an insight into children with cancer and their families. The book is warm and witty and at times sad and heartbreaking. But through out, it is an awesome collections of stories from a doctor with unlimited compassion for life
