You will experience it and you will see it differently with each kind of loss. Death is the one life event the pulls most strongly on the emotions of humanity. Each person you grieve elicits their own, unique journey of responses. You may have to change how you live, but you must keep living. Death and grief don't have to rob you of the joy for life; death is a part of life. Its existence helps us define life and our purpose in living.
