How Old Is Beautiful?

Marsha Karzmer writes with scissors. As an author and creatrix, she reads magazines and newspapers with different eyes, looking for the hidden message in the headlines. The result of her quirky clips is sheer magic. Pleasing to the eye and the mind, Karzmer's message reads loud and clear there is no age before beauty. Real beauty comes from being true to your own unique self and knowing who that is.

From exhilarating exhortations such as It's never too late to treat yourself right to the poignantly pithy I was born wrinkled and I will die wrinkled but I like ME, each page of quippy clips is colorful and delightfully designed, making this the most artful gift book of the year. Marsha Karzmer's inspirational collages are a completely original way to speak to women. Fun and fresh, How Old Is Beautiful? is a gift book a woman will buy for herself and for every woman she knows

Beauty comes from within -"there is no age before beauty"

I was drawn to the book by Marsha Karzmer because of its title, "How Old is Beautiful?" I enjoyed it so much that I purchased several copies for birthday gifts for family and friends. This whimsical little book was put together from clippings she saved from newspapers and magazines. Her message,"there is no age before beauty" rings true for all of us. We are all beautiful in our own way as she stresses that "real beauty comes from being true to your own unique self and knowing who that is."

Great for Mom

Got the book for my mother for mother's day, and she said is was quite enjoyable.

Join in celebrating life to its fullest at any age

Are you letting your age dictate your happiness and how you feel about yourself? It's time to free yourself from society's definitions and expectation of beauty. Karzmer creates unique and playful messages using clipping from magazines and newspapers. She has assembled headlines, sidebars and quotes that she's found to create powerful messages. The background pages have a watercolor painting feel to them-a mix of bold and soft primary colors and flowers embellish the page. This is a great backdrop for Karzmer's words of wisdom. After reading How Old Is Beautiful, I realized that age is just a number (only important when talking about wines, cheese and family pets). Our goals should be to keep dreaming, be open to adventures and cultivate our inner beauty. A quote that I enjoyed, because it sums up that life is a journey, was: "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly." The author has advice for different age groups. If you're in your 20s and 30s, remember to keep dreaming. If you're in your 40s, then celebrate what you've learned. Be 50 and fabulous, be inspired by Oprah. Another message that made me smile, "What it comes down to is the first 80 years are definitely the hardest." I think this book would make a wonderful gift--to yourself or any other woman that deserves to know how special she is. It's not a very long book but you will definitely enjoy reading the messages. They are filled with warmth and humor. They might even become a personal mantra! Armchair Interviews says: A book that celebrates you!
