Healthy Churches: Are We There Yet?

Do you attend a church where everyone is friendly, open, transparent, saintly, joyful, loving, and free of conflict? Do you attend a church where leadership is thoughtful, approachable, operate in the fruit of the Spirit, and always set a Godly example? Do you attend a church where the church ministries are relevant, well managed, accountable, and church administrations are organized and reliable? Well, if that describes your church, then you must be dwelling in Heaven and worshipping at the Throne So, why do I feel a need to weigh in on this issue? I firmly believe that folks should not be attending a church, only because it is grandma's church, the church has a good choir, or the pastor is sexy. Folks' should be attending church for the right reasons. If you don't have an understanding of how the church is governed, how the church operates, how the Gospel is being preached, and how that particular church helps you on their spiritual journey -- then you don't know why you're there.
