My students love these books!

I do not have to ask my students to read these books, they ask me IF I will let them read them! I have seven of this series, as well as his autobiographical "Life in Prison". We have been reading the books and looking up current information on the internet. The students are learning much from Tookie's mistakes and are pledging to not follow in his footsteps. I am hopeful that this is a lesson they will carry with them throughout life.

Real

Regardless of what the "experts" claim on William's books, I beleive you should judge them for yourselves. The writings are real and indepth, from the perspective of someone who has been there before and you can't get closer to being an expert than that. The books are inspirational as well as educational and give a sense of empowerment and represent the ability to change and aspire to be something greater. I think these books are an excellent educational tool.
