You can tell great effort was put forth but the results are disappointing.

Too much science and speculative science fiction that will go way over the vast majority of heads just as it did mine. REALLY NERDY. Some want that but there are many other strange choices of material and plot that I wonder how they thought this would be enjoyable let alone sell enough to lead people to buy the next one. Also, it's a very tiny book that's hard to keep open made on pulp paper that is cool but not in such small leaves. -StrictlySequential (goodreads)
