Cried a little, laughed a lot!

This is a heartwarming story about a first love and family, and the trials and triumphs that accompany both. It is set nearly 100 years ago. The author does a wonderful job of setting the scene through descriptions and dialogue. Although most of the story revolves around the protagonist, there are a trove of supporting characters that each add spunk to the story and provide a great sampling of the old-country community portrayed. There are some moments that will have you rolling with laughter and others that might make your eyes water. Lastly, the author's goal of writing this book as a tribute to her parents' love story makes it all the more real. Buy, share, and enjoy!
