On 14th January 1980, I boarded an evening flight to Kolkata. My first air travel. Overnight halt at the City of Joy. Next morning, I flew once again-this time to the metro hub in the land of seven sisters, Guwahati. I hoped that soon I would get out. Following ten years, the North-East became my second home. No inkling of such an extended stay grazed mind, as it frustrated me in the beginning. All I wanted was a buffer before I deserted. Like some of my batch mates, I never left any romantic souls pining for me back home. A free bird, a lark who can sing his own tune and indulge in adventures, I went ahead to encounter what fate unleashed on my trek. With hopes buried, it was a toss between 'Love what you do' or 'Do what you love'. This book describes what I called and how I steered it for the next thirty-five years.
