Discipline Through Virtue

Disciplining through virtue is an alternative to the lectures and sermons that have served as the principal means to teach correct behavior in the schools. The technique gets at the root causes of a disciplinary dilemma. How? By instilling those virtues whose absence or lack of influence allows problems to surface and escalate. In essence, the technique will provide the young person with the personal resources (character virtues) needed to confront today's challenges and temptations. Disciplining through virtue is not designed to replace the management considerations of discipline.
