Nellie Pumpfry was hungry for an adventure, there was no doubt about that. She fled the confines of white washed mortar walls and pop quizzes the moment her sophomore year commenced without a single glance back, already lost in whimsical thoughts of the sun soaked strangers and endless gravel roads she was sure to find in her eccentric grandmothers dusty little forgotten farm town where she would happily be spending her entire summer vacation.
