Profiles notorious swindlers and scoundrels, including Kirby Henseley, the illiterate purveyor of millions of church ministries, and Reverend R.J. Rudd, the minister who vowed that his spa could cure cancer.
The book itself is only 200 pages - it won't take you long to get through it. I really enjoyed it. I thought some parts painted these con men as sympathetic, almost comical "cartoonish" figures, but we all draw our own conclusion. Especially interesting for me was the sections on the art forgers. You can't help but laugh at some of these guys. For some of them, it's more about 'thumbing their nose at the establishment' ... than the actual making of the money. I thought they should put all the interviews on a compilation DVD and offer that for purchase. I hadn't seen any of these features - but after reading them I would sure like to. *How many of these people actually admit to doing anything wrong and breaking the law? I sat there stunned. Highly recommended reading.
