Building a Noble World is one of the most splendid and thought - provoking books written in recent times. The author, Shiv R. Jhawar, has an innate talent of explaining the most complex ideologies and terms in a way that is easy for any average person to understand. There are very few people who have known and experienced spirituality in its truest sense, and upon reading Mr. Jhawar's personal experience, one can easily conclude that the author is one of them. This book has tremendously helped me understand the true meaning of spirituality. It has also helped me in removing the preconceptions and false assumptions I had regarding spirituality. Many people erroneously believe that spirituality is the same thing as religion. According to the author, spirituality is not as same as religion. The main goal of spirituality is to realize one's inner being through meditation. All the divine powers lie inside an individual, and to realize that, is what spirituality is all about. Mr. Jhawar has made it very clear that the only way one can attain outer peace is by experiencing inner peace. This can be done only through meditation and yoga. People might think that meditation and yoga are for saints who sit in caves and forests and are away from the worldly life, but this is not true. In fact, mediation and yoga is for everyone, because every individual has right to attain inner peace. Most modern people may find mediation not appealing, but after reading Building a Noble World, they would certainly realize the importance of it. Mr. Jhawar has quoted world renowned figures (Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Carl Jung, and others) and spiritual masters (Vivekananda, Rama Tirtha, Yogananda, Muktananda, and others) in his book, which makes the book all the more interesting to read. The author not only has written about spirituality, but also has given his views and practical solutions on the most pressing global problems of today. He has effectively combined spirituality with politics. Many people might think that spiritual people remain aloof from today's problems; they will surely find themselves wrong once they read this book. After reading Building a Noble World, one can certainly conclude that Mr. Jhawar is not only a spiritual being but also a practical person. What makes this book extraordinary is its ability to seamlessly integrate science, politics and spirituality. Any book would be exceptional if it could perform this feat with 2 of the 3 but Mr. Jhawar does it with all 3 and in a language that is easy to comprehend. For this he should be roundly applauded. He also has the unique capacity to make spirituality understood as a science. This also is no small feat. The sages he quotes liberally in his book are masters of meditation and Mr. Jhawar has been able to take the primal concepts of love and respect as taught by them as well as taught by Jesus and Gandhi and applied them to the politcal stage so that there can be no doubt to everyone that our world could and should be a safe and peaceful place as opposed to the increasingly dangerous environment we all live in today. His answers to very troubling world politcal issues are in the classic tradition of the simple yet profound. If you were ever intrigued by yoga and spirituality but ultimately found it was too vague to fit your own basic premises of logic and science, please read this book as Mr. Jhawar has found a way to bridge that gap. He also vividly captures the difference between religiosity and spirituality. So if you are one who takes exception to how religions in general conduct themselves but ultimately still seek a connection with a greater force beyond this physical universe this book could be of great value to you. "Building a Noble World" is an easy read and a great read therefore I highly recommend anyone to take some time to read it.

Jhawar reveals the deepest principles of life that teach us to recognize and embrace the one universal spirit that exists in all human beings as their Real Nature. Through the experience of this glorious spirit that exists in each of us, we can truly learn to live in harmony with the earth and others, while also allowing the dance of diversity to be valued with utmost love and respect regarding all walks of life. This book is a great introduction to yoga philosophy and also to history and politics of Europe, Asia, and the United States encompassing a global perspective. "Building a Noble World" reads like a who's who of the 20th century, documenting humanity's development in material and spiritual knowledge. Reading it, one gains a solid background in basic yoga philosophy including kundalini yoga, shaktipat, and meditation while also being introduced to such monumental historical figures as Albert Einstein, Herman Hesse, the great psychologist Carl Jung, Sivananda, Yogananda, Ram Tirtha, Gandhi, and many other famous figures. There is even an innovative solution to the Kashmiri crisis and an economic proposal for the unification of the Asian subcontinent. The author writes precisely while remaining accessible to the average reader. A book which is able to integrate so seamlessly spirituality, politics, and science, is quite an accomplishment, but Jhawar's book seems to acheived this feat effortlessly! This is one of those books that can change the course of an entire generation to the discovery of yoga and meditation. The main theme of the book is how spirituality can enhance the condition of the world both inner and outer and truly unite us all!!!

Mr. Jhawar has offered to the world a book that could someday be able to affect great changes in the way people view the world and themselves. It offers insight into the UN as a world government, yoga as a science of the soul, great personalities that have shaped the world with their teachings such as Ghandhi, Emerson, Ramakrishna, Hesse, Yogananda, and more! After reading this book I see the world and myself in a different light and I believe it could do the same for others.
