And my review: I love romances with a strong family theme, so when I saw this collection, I quickly snapped it up. And I was, for the most part, not disappointed by this collection. RILEY'S BABY was enjoyable. It showed how a baby changed everything. Adrienne and Riley were quite happy to be no-strings-attached live-in lovers, until an unexpected pregnancy happened. Instead of the hero being commitment-shy, it was the heroine in this case. Raised by an emotionless mother, she doesn't believe she has what it takes to be a good mother, or a good wife. But the hero was determined to convince her otherwise. My only gripe about this story was the heroine's attitude made me want to beat my head against the wall sometimes, because she was so stubborn. Four stars. TAYLOR'S LADIES was a bit of a let-down for me. I never really felt an emotional connection to the characters, and I forgot their names as soon as the story was over. None of it really stayed with me. I don't have much more comments to make because I found the story pretty forgettable. Three stars. LABOR DISPUTE was my favorite of the bunch. I am a big fan of Emilie Richards, and this story was a perfect example of why. Emilie Richards has a gift for creating wonderful, memorable, yet still humanly flawed characters. She also delves into real relationship difficulties, and doesn't rely on petty bickering or stupid misunderstandings. In this story, the hero and heroine had married young, out of mutual affection and need, but never declared their love openly. But the heroine has finally had enough with feeling used up and taken for granted. Watching the family go from unhappy to contented, and watching the hero and heroine finally risk it all and admit their feelings was a joy. Five stars. If you like romances with a strong family theme, I recommend this collection. In anthologies, you're often lucky to get even one decent story. In this collection, you get two!
