Adapting the Bible

While the tabloid-like format of this book may repell some potential readers, I think the scope of this book is well presented. With stories told as if they are being adapted as a modern expose, the passages are easy to digest. For example, who is better to compare Samson to than Terminator? To the casual reader, the stories are told with a modern flair. To others, these are still the stories, you know and love. While readers may not agree with some of the depictions in the interpretations, facts have not been changed. Just like you will not always agree with your minister on Sunday, some of the thoughts may be too strange for your palate. However, the overall Good News is still the same.

This book is written and produced in the style of the World Weekly News, that craziest of all tabloids with stories about bat-boy, aliens at the pentagon, etc. There are plenty of bizzare, kooky, and downright silly stories in the Bible, and this guy has collected quite a few. Ususally the people who collect this type of material are skeptics trying to make the Bible look ridiculous - but this author is serious! This author actually considers the little volume an evangelistic effort. Still quite funny. Place in bathroom for optimal reading.
