Sometimes you don't know the question

Sometimes people ask you a question about the Bible that you just have no idea how to answer. This book will help in 99% of the cases.

Wonderful reference!

Saw this book at my brother-in-law's and got involved in it. Before I finished, had to leave so ordered it when we got home. It's a great reference book that answers many questions you may have about the Bible.

A Very Comprehensive Discussion

This book is arranged, as the title implies, into a Question and Answer format. I was very impressed at the breadth of subject matter covered. There's everything from questions about the Bible to questions about the application of Biblical principles to everything in between. The one thing that did disappoint me was that not every answer gave a Biblical foundation for the answer. Given the title "Bible Answers for Almost All Your Questions," I was expecting Biblical answers to all of the questions, not just someone's opinion on some of them. An example of the answer using a Biblical foundation would be this from page 199. "What is the sealing of the Holy Spirit? The Bible teaches that Christians are sealed by the Holy Spirit: "You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased posession, to the priase of His glory" (Eph. 1:13-14)." An example of a question without any Biblical foundation would be this, also from page 199. "What is the sanctification of the Holy Spirit? Various denominations interpret the word sanctification differently. The root meaning is "to be set apart." When the Holy Spirit sanctifies a person, he or she is set apart to God and should reflect the character of God. Because the Holy Spirit is holy, He makes the person desire holiness. Because the Holy Spirit is spiritual, He makes the person desire spirituality." I'm not disputing Dr. Towns' opinion of the sanctification of the Holy Spirit. I just would have preferred it if he would have presented the Biblical basis for his opinion.

An Illustrative Bible Guide

A thoroughly enjoyable book of facts, opinions, explanations and insights into the Word of God. When this book is used as a reference while reading the Bible, the reader becomes more enlightened and desirous to know more.
