The best book to get your hands on!

If you are into needle crafts or any sort of yarn work or intrested in learning this is the book for you! If you can get one of these books I would highly reccomend anyone to do so. IT has detailed step by step direction for all the needle crafts and yarn works the sections include: Knitting crochet knotted & woven work -knotting -macrame -netting -tatting -plaiting -rugmaking -weaving embroidery needle point pachowrk quilting & applique basic sewing It does give patterns in every catagory but it is mostly about all the diffrent stitchse and tells how to do many diffrent samples which will give you the tools to create your own work. Fore example, the knittin section starts with a breif history and then casting on of course. But it has diagrams and explains 5 diffrent ways of doing it. And then it goes into directions on how to do 81 diffrent stitches from stripes, basket weeves, cables and more. the patterns are nice but of course the colors are dated.
