Fun for our 5 year old

We got this because our daughter was interested in dance, but we didn't have the money to just throw into dance not knowing if she would stay interested in it. This book gave her fun things learn and practice. The book is great in teaching ballet basics. The video is a little fast for a young child not knowing very much, but could be useful later.

This is fully enjoyed

I purchased this for my just 7 year old granddaughter. She practices at least twice a week in her room. She likes to show off to her parents what she has learned. I wouldn't mind getting another just for myself because I never had the opportunity when I was young and it would give me an up when I am spending time with her.

Lovely photos and helpful DVD

My two daughters take ballet and enjoyed reading this book together. It has great photos and teaches the technical terms in an easy to comprehend manner. My younger daughter really took to this book and uses it as a fun reference. The included DVD is very helpful and it's a good deal to receive it included with the book. My daughters dance together with the DVD. Highly recommended. We also enjoy the Element DVD (we love Elise Gulan), the Illustrated Book of Ballet Stories (with CD), the Ballet Friends book series, and the Ballet for Beginners DVD.

Beautiful book

This is a wonderful book. My daughter takes ballet and wanted a book that included technical terms for positions and steps. This book was perfect. Beautiful photos. Now she can even practice her ballet at home with the DVD.

My daughter loves this book and uses the DVD to teach herself ballet. She dances almost everyday of the week with it. And has seen great improvement in her ballet.
