Young Artemus desires only to make people smile and laugh. Every year, a feast of celebration is held in the castle where the townsfolk may air their grievances, eat with the king, and watch gypsies perform magic and acrobats. However, there is a conspiracy lingering in the shadows that changes the course of Artemus' life. At the peak of the festival, the king mysteriously falls ill. Artemus sets off on a journey to help save his father the king, and in doing so, he must find the strength within to defeat the darkness that has taken over the land of Olban.
