An interesting story, especially if you want to learn something about reincarnation the easy way.The main character, Sven, is put into trance in order to go back to former lives and find out why he has such relationship problems in his present life. The most interesting part for me were his trips back in those lives, e.g. to the Inca time when he was a High priest in search of knowledge, to the time of the Roman Empire when he was a Roman soldier in love with a Greek woman, to prehistory when he was a woman helping a shaman etc. It's a bit like time travel.

At last a good reincarnation story!

"Addicted to Life" really caught me by surprise. Intrigued by the promise of a story which takes reincarnation seriously, I could not wait to start. However, the book went far beyond my initial expectations, exploring other fascinating subjects, such as alternative medicine, and developing interesting characters I really would have liked to meet in person. All in all I found myself in a plot so much more interesting than the daily grind of struggling in a world dominated by social status, promotion and recognition by others. Sven's explorations into his present and previous lives develop slowly and credibly, against a strong initial resistance, and bring out all of the excitement and adventure of following this path into self-discovery.
superb reincarnation story

An unconventional intense story with a superb plot. It keeps you turning the pages to find out how Sven's past lives interact in this life and leaves you wistful because the last page has been turned. The different characters are breathing men and women with whom you quickly become involved, and the message seems to be that human history is purposeful and that there is a reason for everything which happens.
