A Journey Beyond Code Blue

Definitely a must read! This book is filled with 270ish pages of examples of life that we all face everyday. I learned many things from Mya on dealing with different facets of life. It reminds you that things aren't always as they seem, (don't be quick to judge); to always be open, honest and especially forgiving. More importantly it reminds us to live our lives with the cards that we are dealt in a positive manner and have a sense of humor. Sometimes things may not always go our way, but it is an excellent reminder that when we pray, God does hear our prayers. He may not answer as quickly as we would like, but somehow he is always working on getting everything in order for our lives. Even when it takes a major set back in one's life to help that prayer to be answered; you know it is always His plan, we have to be patient, wait and listen.

A compelling story, with twists and insight

This is a page-turner -- This is a compelling story of an ordinary woman thrust into extraordinary personal circumstances (a spiritual reality she clearly was not ready for). The main character goes from being wrapped in her own world to seeing others as God sees them, all by being forced to look honestly at her life and relationships. It is a very positive book, with comedy, unexpected twists, and tragedy. Very readable, and I highly recommend it.
