Aqua Inspiration

Juliana states in the book that the book is more about inspiring,and encouraging people on what fitness is about, and this is certainly the case rather than just a list of exercises. A refreshing book that sites specific personal accounts for the reader to ponder. I like the way she talks about concentration and meditation as a way to prepare the students mind to be open to something new. She uses vizualization and afformation to build peoples self-esteem. There is a section on aqua healing and water therapy which is usefull but a bit misinfomed about some of the YMCA's excellent aqua programs in many areas of health and fitness. Water Dance is a wonderful book for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. it is a total non-impact program that allows the partipant to engage in a healthy and refreshing workout, while all the time having fun. i would recommend this book to anybody who wants to feel good. try it!

Compelling blend of the benefits for mind and body

This book addresses the concerns I had about water fitness from the emotional preparation to accept a new challenge to the details of getting the chlorine off my skin. It is a highly readable, comfortable book.

A must read for nonswimmers who desire nonimpact fitness!

This book is a terrific confidence booster for those like me who can't swim a stroke, but have a strong desire to enjoy the nonimpact fitness and health benefits of aquatic exercise. She's 'right on' about how aquatic exercise can produce more than just the physical benefits; it's a great stress reliever, too! Thank you Juliana, for giving me the necessary boost to get me back into that pool I've long avoided.
