Excellent!

This book of Eve's made me weep, rage, remember, & deeply relate to everything she had to say. It is deeply perceptive, intelligent and a must read for everyone in the least interested in women's rights in the world, including at home. This story is personal & political both, and I couldn't put it down.

This Is A MUST Read...

for anyone seeking broad and uncommon perspectives. I found this work to be far more than a political memoir. Ms. Ensler hits so many nails on the head it is difficult to choose one for discussion here. Read this book; you will think, cry, and find your hidden outrage. Then, you will be moved to action small or great.

Everyone should read this book!

Based on a true story this is a phenomenal book and educates the reader on the injustices of our world. Eve's descriptions of her experiences make one want to go and contribute to those way less fortunate than ourselves. It is definitely a worthwhile read.

Well written

I shared this book with 3 others. We all liked the book very much - but we all saw things in the book differently. So - it was a fast read (could not stop ourselves)and provided us with much to discuss.

A Miracle of Human Connection

This is the most honest, open and at the same time powerfully revolutionary book I have ever read. Not only because of the masterful truth-telling that leaps from its pages, but also because of the unique weave of Ensler's deeply personal story with her experiences from around the world. It is a moving convergence of emotional nakedness, fierce and factual reportage and the pure wonder of witnessing the miracles created by those who have learned, as Eve says, "to find freedom, aliveness, and power not from what contains, locates, or protects us but from what dissolves, reveals, and expands us." This book is one of those miracles.
