Easy and heartfelt read

The chemistry from these two were wonderful and kept you reading until the end. The beautiful story of her being able to do as she loved and hunt for a specific piece of treasure. I feel the end of the story could’ve been stretched more. But overall would recommend the book.

The Reef

wonderful book. Has romance, mystery, treasure hunting, etc. Search for a specific treasure piece. One man would do (& has done) all kinds of things to obtain it. Nail biter to the end!

Great Book!

I took this book to Hawaii with me and found out very quickly it was a perfect choice. I loved the relationship between the two main characters. I felt like the ending may have been a little rushed, maybe because I did not want it to end! Also, I felt a bit of a personality change in the leading male character towards the end of the story. Matthew Lassiter seemed to became a bit passive towards the end of the book. Other than that I loved the book and still felt it was worth five stars.

The Reef is Exquisite!

I can't say enough good things about THE REEF! It shows a strong female character in a field that used to be dominated by men, and a strong sensitive male that isn't afraid to dream. This is a fantasy come true and involves marine archeologist Tate Beaumont and Matthew Lassiter and their families. The families run into each other while treasure-hunting for Angelique's Curse - a treasure that has eluded everyone, and many think it is only a myth. But this artifact is worth everything to some, even worth killing another. As this joint expedition continues, it holds all of the elements needed for a great story: mystery, romance, secrets that can't be shared, deceptions and threats. There are so many angles that could have been pursued the reader isn't sure which avenue Nora Roberts will take until she delivers them to it. This always keeps you on the edge of your seat, and gives you a first hand "view" of the undersea world of beauty and intrigue. I highly recommend THE REEF and only wish it would have continued - or at least had a sequel in the works! Great characters and fantastic plot will hook the reader from the beginning. One of Nora Roberts better works!

Diving for Gold

Readers will unearth gems (pardon the pun!) in this book about divers salvaging shipwrecks for treasures. Tate, a marine archaeology student, joined her parents one summer searching for undiscovered shipwrecks. They became partners on their adventure with Matthew Lassiter and his uncle, a famed family of salvagers who've had their share of bad luck. The team struck gold when they managed to find a wreck with all its treasures but tragedy hit when a member of the expedition was badly injured. Tate and Matthew were driven apart in the aftermath of the tragedy as their treasure trove were stolen by an evil man searching for a priceless neckless. Years later, sparks fly between the two once again when Tate's father asked his former partners, Matthew and his uncle, to join them on another expedition to find a legendary shipwreck that is rumored to hold the necklace called Angelique's Curse. Their love was put to the test as the insane man lurks, ready to pounce and grab everything for himself yet again. One thing you can be sure of when reading a Nora Roberts book is that it will be like no other that she has written, unless of course it is a trilogy or series. Every book has own unique story line and its own stamp of excellence. The Reef is no different.

I fell in love with this book

I have never before read a Roberts book but I totally became a fan after reading this book. The details of the treasure hunting, underwater explorations and the growing love between Matthew and Tate totally drew me in to the story. I stayed up all night to finish it and then was left wanting more! If you want a book that involves you completely then get this one, it is a wonderful ride full of love, danger and lots of fun treasure hunting!

A Perfect Story

The Reef by Nora Roberts has to be the perfect book. I couldn't stop reading it, and hated it when the story ended. The story is divided into three sections: the past, the present and the future; combined beautifully for a wonderful story. Loaded with suspense, mystery, romance and hot sex scenes, Ms. Roberts writing is so descriptive that the reader feels as if they are diving off shore surveying shipwrecks themselves. Truly, an excellent novel!
