Excellent for the Bathroom

Mr. O'Reilly's book is very helpful. I recommend you place it someplace useful like the bathroom. It will serve a duel purpose there: 1) it will scare guest into finishing their business rather quickly and 2) it will cut down on your toilet paper use. This book also can double as a fire starter. I would recommend this because this will increase the value of the book. The book can also be used to clean-up spills and wrap Christmas presents in. I caution using it as gift wrap for little children for they will be too scared to get close enough to open it. In short if you are planning on reading this book, don't. This will save you time and give you a chance to use it for its intended purpose as toilet paper.

Oh! O'Reilly!

Why do so many people love Bill O'Reilly, while so many other people hate him? Because Bill O'Reilly isn't shy about sharing his opinion of things. If he thinks you're wrong, he'll spell out for you why he thinks you're wrong. But unlike so many, he'll actually listen to people who disagree with them and give them a chance to persuade him. This book is a collection of interviews from "The O'Reilly Factor," (the TV show, not the book), used to illustrate O'Reilly's points on subjects ranging from Hillary Clinton to NAMBLA. Truthfully, the book would be a better read if there were more writing and less in terms of transcripts, but in all, this book demonstrates what's behind the O'Reilly phenomenon. It seems to me people who are so insecure as to have their viewpoints challenged are those most likely to hate O'Reilly. But those who watch the show, will see that O'Reilly is neither a right-wing nor left-wing extremist. But those who are unable to see the world in any other way are those who make up his detractors. Bill O'Reilly also goes after people who are full of it! If you're convinced your viewpoint on things is the only valid one, then you're not someone who will enjoy this book. For you a blank journal in which you can indulge yourself with your thoughts may be a better buy.

Commentary by Norman Thomas Remick, author (...)

I see Bill O'Reilly bumping heads with the powerful and famous almost every night on the boob-tube (I exclude his "show" from that definition). My only knock on his show is my knock on all boob-tube programing -- too much advertising. That's the beauty of his book "The No-Spin Zone". You can get the whole argument and explanation without being taken on a bums rush from one advertising break to the next by some director who is out of sight. (In fact, that's the beauty of all books). I fully understand what Bill O'Reilly is trying to do with his no-spin zone theme. (...) --- no so-called expert opinions, speculations, and interpretations (SPIN) --- "just the facts, Ma'am". Most authors give us 25 pages of bonafide factual research, then blow it up to a 250 page book using 225 pages of spin. I have empathy for you and your problems, Bill, flying in the face of the powerful and famous "entrenched establishment" with your no-spin zone theme. (...) at least the "entrenched establishment in your field cannot blow off what you have to say. I know you "read" what I'm getting at here. That aside, fortunately someone like Bill O'Reilly has come along who is trying to change things for "The Good". I strongly recommend all thinking people in America read "The No-Spin Zone", and take it to heart.

Eye-Opening Book

My husband purchased this book for me as a gift. I read the book in one night because I couldn't put it down. It was simply captivating, direct and humerous at times. The book opened my eyes to many things that are wrong with governmental policies, politics and charitable organizations. O'Reilly is truly a "Crusader for the Common Man." I can't wait for the next book.

The Zone - It's not a place, but a way of thinking

O'Reilly has done it again; instead of setting up a practical guide for living your life, this time he's outlined a practical guide to thinking your way through your life. While presenting his opinions on all of the forbidden topics of the day, he's created a road-map to thinking outside the box. He rounds out his book with a challenge to all of the readers... create your own No Spin Zone. A place where you hash out the details of the issues affecting your life to determine what is correct, while always keeping an eye out for the proof that your way of thinking might be wrong. If you're a tow-the-line `ist' or `ive' of any persuasion, pass on this book. However, if you have an independent streak and want to make up your own mind, but are looking for some guidance down that obscure path towards freedom from `spin', this is the book you've been seeking.
