Improve Your Mood Through Proper Nutrition

The short review: This book aims to improve your mood mainly be making changes in your diet, particularly by recommending specific amino acids. The longer review: The book begins by having the reader distinguish between false moods and true emotions by having them complete a questionnaire. By doing this, you can see which false mood type (or types) you seem to fit. From there, you are directed to certain chapters for a more individualized treatment. Action steps at the end of chapters tell you exactly what to do. All-in-all it's certainly a valuable resource with much information. Know that it aims to primarily improve moods through nutritional means, which is a much overlooked area in my opinion, and anyone struggling with chronic bad moods is encouraged to check it out. Other books I liked that also take a natural approach include Exercise Beats Depression. :)

It really works!

I have the greatest respect for Julia Ross. Her book helped me formulate an incredibly effective treatment plan which eradicated (!!!) my severe PMDD completely. I have been completely symptom free for over 2 years. Her research and facts all check out as I did a lot of independent investigation and corroboration. The people who gave her less than complimentary reviews probably did not do one 100th as much research as she has when it comes to pin-pointing absolute causes for the ills we face in this hard-paced world we live in. I doubt these skeptics even finished reading her book or followed her advice, and if they did, probably not for long enough to see any real results. There is no quick-fix when it comes to ones health. Kudos to Julia Ross on an excellent piece of work. :)

The Mood Cure

This is a wonderful book! I highly recommend it along with "The Omega-3 Connection" by Dr. Andrew Stoll. I have been through 3 severe clinical depressions in my life.I did the round of doctors, counselors and psychiatrists. I've been put on different types of medications until the doctors figured out which ones would help me. This, in my opinion, is sort of being like a guinea pig. They truly don't know you and your chemistry.I've been fortunate enough to have never been hospitalized, but believe me, there were times I wish they would just lock me away or that God would end my suffering.This book has a wealth of information on how our brain and body chemistry works.I've been on this program for three weeks now and I'm off my antidepresant and anti-anxiety medication and feel great! I know I've finally found the right road to recovery!
