Good job in introducing tennis to new comers

I was first tempted by buying "Tennis for Dummies", like most of other beginners. But then I ran into this book from Trish Faulkner. So I made a quick comparison between the two. These two books contains technical sections like: choosing your racquet, stringing, tennis rules, grip, backhand, forehand, etc, etc .... One may prefer Tennis for Dummies to this one, others may prefer this one to Tennis for Dummies.... just a matter of personal taste.Personnally, I prefer this one because it has a chapter describing the history of tennis, which is in my opinion interesting to know. The end of the book gives a short description of pro players of the last twenty or thirty years. One detail among others, that made me buy this book vs. Tennis for Dummies, is the description of the tennis court is given in both foot/inch and international metric system, which is important since tennis is played anywhere around the world.Last but not least, unlike the previous reader who mentions Trish Faulkner as an "old lady with a racket", beside the fact that Trish certainly plays tennis way better than this reader and wins championships, I think she has done a great deal for tennis by proving that this sport can be played at all age, and can help people staying in good health while having fun.
