Lots of ripped pages

I understand buying used childrens books will be damaged but one too many flaps were ripped off/missing

Fantastic book

My 18-month-old daughter adores this book - she insists I read it to her morning, day and night. It is so much fun for the both of us. She is absolutely delighted with the rhymes, colorful illustrations and being able to lift all of the flaps, pull all of the tabs, etc. The last page is the best, with the crocodile who eats her toes, the monkey who tickles her armpits and the bear that gives her a great big squeeze. I will definitely order a copy of this book for my soon-to-be niece/nephew, too.

clever, silly, charming, wonderful!

This is one of our favorite books. The pop-ups are great and the text is delightful, full of wordplays that amuse the grownups as much as the kids ("a bison in the baisin, a wombat in a bath hat!") We also love "The Tickle Book" by the same authors, which has equally amusing words and even more inventive pop-ups.

Not Your Average Bedtime Book

The Bedtime Bear is not your average bedtime story. This story is a zany find-your-way-to-bed journey that takes the reader through a jungle, a blizzard, and more. The colorful illustrations and pop-ups will have kids asking for this book even when it's not bedtime!

Worms on toast? How disgusting!

This book was a gift from my mother-in-law and the first time I read it to my son it was an instant favorite. He loved the illustrations and the fun pop-ups. We read this book almost every night for two years. He still pulls it out once in a while. My daughter is 18 months old and ready for pop-ups and I'm so pleased to see that this book is still in print because we've worn out the old one and some of the pop ups are missing. I've never gotten tired of reading this one. I'm not normally a big fan of reading rhyming books out loud; they get a little annoying and sing-songy. But the rhyme in this book flows easily and manages to be cute without being "cutesy". It's just a blast to read! My son's favorite page is the one with the "Mices eating ices". He loved turning the wheel and bringing up the different "gross" meals and giggling wildly (little kids love gross!). For a long time, I would just randomly say "Hairy Pears!" and he would shout out "Nasty!" (or one of the other creepy entrees and responses) no matter where we were. "How disgusting!" was one of his first sentences. This book is great fun to read and has great illustrations and lots of pop-ups. Lots of other things too--like seeing how many fish you can find in the bathroom, that sort of thing. Don't forget to tickle on the "Ticklemetoo" part!

Lizards in a Blizzard and Mices Eating Lices, Oh My!

My youngest niece, Cassie, just loves this book. She won't go to bed without her mother or I going through it and pulling up the delightful pop ups. She giggles when we ask her to point out the bear and the tiger on the bike and she likes to hear me roar when I expose the lion in the tree. She loves the lizard in a blizzard and the mices eating lices. She adores the kangaroo bathing the baby bear and the wombat behind the shower curtain. But most of all she loves all her animal friends as they wish her goodnight on the last page. Just a super book that gets five stars from Captain Katie.
