Nuts and Bolts

Anyone who is either thinking about teaching a vocational course or hiring someone to teach a vocational course, who does not have a teaching credential should buy this book. It's a little pricy, but it sure beats spending a semester in college for Part 1 of a teacher credentialing program. It's basically everything in the Designated Subjects Teacher Credential course in one volume. Subjects like classrom decorum, lecture & lab techniques and student evaluation are thouroughly discussed. Normally teachers in vocational programs did not take college courses to prepare themselves to teach, they worked as carpenters or cosmetologists most of their life. This book takes them into the next step in a very productive career.
