Beautifully done, lots of fun

This book is a quick read, but lots of fun. Great tips. Great quotes, and the illustrations add a lot. It is nice to look at, reference and read. If you are feeling that your current look needs a bit of updating, this can help.

Be Simple and True To Yourself

This book is a perfect gift for any woman who loves style, fashion, and beauty. kate spade has beautiful watercolor pallets with different color combinations that are sure to put a twist into any woman's closet. The message that she convays is being true to yourself because that is how your personality will come through what you are wearing. The other thing that is great about this book are the comments from her husband Andy who chimes in to give the male perspective, an important factor missing in most style guides.

Good Read

I recieved this book as a gift, and enjoyed it very much. I am a High School Fashion student, and found it very helpful in deciding on colors, patterns, and shapes of the outfits I designed. I found it a fun read, with many good books, movies, and tips reccomended.

Kate Spade did a wonderful job to help you incorporate her ideas, use of different colors, and creating new looks just by changing the accessories so that you can create a style all of your own to match who you authentically are. Your style can change from day-to-day, or be the same all year around. From the beautiful illustrations, you can improvise on the ideas shown if you are on a tight budget. Great advice is given on how to care for classic pieces in your wardrobe, including jewelry, so they are preserved over time. The great thing about this book is how you can completely update simple and elegant wardrobe pieces by accessorizing in a completely different way, including going from the office to an evening out. Just as you would buy a book on table settings for different occasions, or home accessories to update the look of your home, in this book you have a wonderful resource to update, change, or improvise how you dress yourself. The most important thing to remember is that true style comes from the inside out, and the most important part of that style is your self worth, and confidence to be who you authentically are.
