Gutsy and long overdue

Rick is saying something that is painful for some to hear but is spot on. As a father of three sons I appreciated the balence between being a man of God and still being a full man. Ricks book puts into written form what men of generations past instinctively knew to be true and yet he doesn't get lost in macho idiocy. Rick has dialed into a handfull of keys to manhood that a growing number of young men are sadly lacking. I suspect a few sisters in todays church will find a couple things he says troubling. This message though is long overdue and not at all a put down to our sisters, merely a call to understanding the differences between boys and girls and plea to stop trying to erase them. I found each chapter to resonate biblically while jiving with what a man inherently knows to be true. While exceptions to each rule of scripture can always be found Rick in a very creative style reminds the church today of how God has put boys together. Those who quibble over nuances and set aside the truths Rick highlights may find themselves bringing hardship to young boys under their care.

Gutsy and long overdue

Rick puts down in words what men knew for hundreds of years and never even thought about. Reading it reminded me of things my dad did for me and I did for my three sons that I realize were invaluable in turning boys into real men, and godly men. I would suspect that a few of our sisters may not appreciate some of what Rick says...yet someone must finally say it. Not just a 'how to' book, but one that opens up the mind and heart of the average boy to those who in our day may have forgot what that is. Boys still long to be men...this book very simply helps those who may be drowning in PCness realize how far we've strayed. This is not a call to macho chest beating...but a restating of the differences between boys and girls...and a call to stop blurring those differences. A great read, and fun too.

Out of the Box thinking- a must read!

I wish the churches I grew up in had read this book and put Bundschuh's ideas into practice. His radically creative thinking and practical suggestions are ready to use, not just pie in the sky. If people have the courage to join him in thinking outside of the box and actually implement these ideas, our sunday schools and youth ministries will become places where men are made. Churches don't have to be full of women and wimps! This book has the ring of truth through out its pages and I strongly recommend it to both men and women.

Passed thru Fire

The book exposes a real important topic of raising our boys to men in a way that God intended. As a parents, specificlly, as a father, you should check out this book. It's got good solid advice from the bible and provides real life examples that most of us can relate too.

A MUST READ FOR ALL MEN IN THE CHURCH

Mr. Bundschuh has hit the nail on the head. Chrisitan MEN need to be building up and raising Christian boys into manhood. His politically incorrect style is a refreshing change to the watered down authors of recent times.
