Wrong book

I bought level one. This clearly says level one, but it came in the mail today and it is level two... I can't use level two this semester. I'm gonna keep it because I'll use it next semester, but now I don't know what to do because I have work due Thursday and y'all sent me the wrong book.

The book had a lot more writing than I expected and it was marked in pen. I also thought the VHS was included but its not. They should make it clear to buyer if the VHS comes included.

ASL

Item arrived in great condition. The workbook was listed as used, but I couldn't tell. Delivery was prompt. And it was cheaper than the college bookstores used textbooks!!

AWESOME!!! : )

The book and VHS were in perfect condition and arrived before the estimated delivery date!!!

This book was used to teach at my church

The book is excellent and has been used in previous sign language classes that I have helped out at my church and has successfully bridged the gap between the hearing and deaf members at the church to a degree where many of them had a continued interest to even help the other interpreters with the church songs! While the book was most used, the tape was "so-so" but useful for those times away from class and away from the exposure of other deaf at the church.

ASL With Ease

I don't know about you, but when it comes to learning languages I usually cringe. For the first time in my life I got an A in a language class, and I know that this book had something to do with it. Inside it is filled with pictures on how to sign, explanations of signs, and awesome Deaf cultural material that is essential to know. Along with the book is a video. I will admit that it is hokey, but if you can stand to watch the 20-min sessions you will learn a lot. The book, however, is not intended to be used as a self-teaching guide. You need to have someone either teaching you correct signing methods, or helping you in some way in order for the book to be used in it's greatest capacity. On a whole this book is a great tool to learn both ASL and about the Deaf culture.

This combination helps students to learn a lot about ASL.

I personally liked how the videotape complemented the workbook. The workbook can help students learn the alphabet, numbers, thousands of signs, location and emphasis of signs, money, and deaf culture (which I think is a step beyond what most American Sign Language or Signed Exact English books will go). The videotape is for the exercises, which helps students to look for and receive various signs such as time, location, dollars, cents, and fingerspelling. Overall, it's an excellent combination.
