Simple, but shows the basics (really good!)

I think it's good because she tells about all the basics you need to know. She doesn't tell about the Mother Goddess, and she lose a star for that, because the Mother is really important (in wicca). It's the 5th book about witchcraft I have, so I knew about the Goddess. But it's a little hard for a beginning witch to know that there's a Goddess that she\he have to pray to (well if it's book nr. 1).

great for beginners

I think it is a great book (maybe because it is my first book about magic.): it contains exercises, spells, hand reading and lists about the meaning of colours, herbs, and symbols. It has a good layout: there is lots of drawings and not a single white page. It is a little short (about 50 pages) but she tells a lot of important things. I don't think it is serious enough to people who has make magic for a long time, but it is perfect for beginners.
