Great!

Either had some wanted damage or just bent but still a great book!

Superb text

After going about six years without reading a traditional anatomy and physiology text, I was surprised at the advanced level that this book has reached, as compared to the texts I read during the first few years of this decade. This book offers numerous resources, from special pathological sections to online excercises. In addition, every chapter offers highly detailed diagrams and little tidbit sections to help students better understand the material. Thus, no matter what type of learner you are, this book will offer a way to learn the text that totally fits your style. For those who learn better by seeing and listening, the online material will be helpful and the diagrams in the book are quite comprehensive. For those who learn better by simply reading the text, this book provides the material in regular paragraphs, charts, and advanced diagrams. Finally, for those who are already familiar with the material, and just need a quick review, the end of each chapter has a comprehensive, but terse summary of the material.

best package - book is thorough and explains all aspects there. it contains a glossary and new terminology is explained after every part of body and system exploration. the attached atlas - shows all parts of the skeleton. it is handy - you can drag it with you anywhere while studying for exams. atlas has also references to book. shame it has only the skeleton and all body systems.the book has two cd-roms attached - one in fron cover - let's you prepare sample exams in order to prepare you to passing the exams. the other cd-rom - is the foundations - first cd in a series of some. book contains only the first - the foundations part. it has animation, pivtures and interactive explanations and also a glossary part. so you can postpon buying a dictionary for the beginning until you have some knowledge and know what dictionary will be best for you.all in all - excelent package for an affordable price.i haven't tried yet the website subscription offer.

Great Reference Book

I purchased this book for my first year in dental school. So far, it has been a great reference book. I can honestly say I have referenced it more than any other book purchased this year. Every chapter is easy to read and contains many wonderful and detailed pictures. Tortora and Grabowski do a great job making the material thorough yet concise. For first year dental students, I would definitely recommend it.

Outstanding text for health professionals and students

I am a surgeon, my wife is a nurse, and both of us greatly admire (and continue to use) this fine anatomy and physiology textbook. It is helpful for undergraduate studies in A & P college courses, graduate school studies, medical school, or nursing school, and the wonderful illustrations and pictures are great for reference in future years. I highly recommend purchasing this textbook, even if it is not the "Official" one used by your particular school or course, since it will aid your studies greatly.
