Totally Awesome!

This is a reeeeeeeeeeeeely neat book. DEFINITLY better than the tv show, little more violent and serious and goofyish and cute all at the same time. It introduces another character who is the water starter trainer (though admittedly, she stole it) and Bill, a hillbillyish researcher (ironicly, both are scared of birds). It ends a little open ended but it's good nonetheless. In case you want to know what pokemon's artwork are in it they are: Bulbasaur, ivysaur,Poliwhirl, pikachu, pinsir, charmeleon, charmander, squirtle, wartortle, snorlax, half of mewtwo, rhydon, hitmonlee, gravelar, machamp, tauros, ditto, jigglypuff, mew, jynx, porygon, marowak, golduck, machoke, pidgeot, scyther, diglett, krabby, ninetales, tangela, eevee, vileplume, drowzee, jolteon, vaporeon, flareon, bellsprout, kadabra, nidoking, nidoqueen, victreebell, weepinbell, parasect, eggsecute, sandshrew, magmar, cloyster, dragonite, gyarados, starmie, articuno, muk, gengar, arcanine, rapidash, moltres, areodactyl, zapdos, charizard.

Pokemon does it again!

Pokemon always amazes me, and it always will. This manga amazed me in ways beyond belief. Unlike the anime, this manga is based off the video games. To be specific, it is based off of Pokemon Red, Pokemon Green (a.k.a. Pokemon Blue in America), and Pokemon Blue (Japan-only). The main character is Red, based off the main character of the game. His rival is Green (a.k.a. Blue in America). He was based off the rival in the game. Then, we meet a cute, yet cunning, girl name Blue (a.k.a. Green in America), who was an original character. She was used as the female character years later in Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green. This manga is not something you'd expect little kids to read. It goes beyond the "kiddy" image, targeting towards young teens. The blend of the storyline from the game, plus original ideas, make this a great novel. That, and I can't get enough of Bill's accent. If you like Pokemon, this is the manga for you!

Pokemon Adventures Volume 2

This comic book is really good. However, the comic book world of Pokemon is a bit more grim than the television show or game, so I'm not sure I'd recommend it for younger or more sensitive children. The comic book series centers around Red, a trainer from Pallet Town, who looks rather like Ash from the TV show, but he's a bit different. And, of course, he has a Pikachu. There is also his rival, Blue, who is more or less a duplicate of Gary, only perhaps a bit more unpleasant; in other words, Blue is a complete jerk. Obviously, he does not get along with Red. Also, introduced in Volume 2 is Green, a character who doesn't seem to be based on anyone from the game or TV show. She's a female Pokemon trainer who is described in the book as "a liar and a thief, but not a bad person". Initially, she doesn't seem to be trustworthy, but she turns out to be an ally to Red eventually. Another difference between the books and the TV show is that many of the gym leaders are bad guys. Sabrina, Koga and Lieutenant Surge, for instance, are Team Rocket executives. So there's a great deal more at risk in the comics than there is on the TV show. In conclusion, this book is quite good, but maybe not the best thing for a younger or more sensitive Pokéfan.

Really good!

Unlike the corny tv show, this comic is not only awesome, but more realistic.(In some ways.) I reccomend it to all who enjoy the pokemon franchise.

POKEMON POKEMON POKEMON

In vol.2 of Pokemon Adventures the first thing that happens is red meats a girl named Green who is a tricky thief. She might be a liar and a thief but she is not a bad person. Then red hears Team Rocket talking about her so he spies on them. After that his and Blues pokeballs got mixed up. If this sounds exciting to you I sugest you get this book to find out more.
