I bought this specific book because it was advertised as a signed copy. The condition was not as advertised and the signed page is missing and looks as if it has been ripped out . This was supposed to be a gift for my husband

Couldn’t put down the book!

I finished this book in about 4 hours after receiving it, i just could not put it down. I did not expect it to be as amazing as it actually is!

Was it like new?

Yes, it was! It does have a dang half price sticker on it which are like the hardest to get off of all stickers but it's fine.

Make sure to buy all three books in the series!

The language is engaging and mesmerizing! The characters and plot twists will steal your breath away! If you are going to read one book then you need to read all three in the series as they flow one unto another. And the fate of the characters will have you wanting to know more and more. The most vivid part of this novel and the two others in the series is Ransom Brigg’s incredible storytelling using a stack of odd and eerie photos which I honestly think sets this series apart from any other. Part historical, part fantasy and a small part horror this book is fascinating start to finish!

My first read of a fantasy novel!

I was intrigued at the first glance of this book. I was standing in a local "buy out " store. I scored the BRAND NEW book for 1.99! I read the back as I always do. I knew I had to read it. It is way better than any alice in wonderland! It all came to life very smoothly! I couldn't but it down. I read it in a day and a half. Pausing on to sleep for the night. I'm hooked. I can't wait to start the second book! I love the language, I love the way the author keeps me turning pages. It a wonderful place to imagine. I want more.

The creepy pictures are a great touch

Ransom Riggs Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children) 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The story is accompanied by creepy photographs throughout the book that are all black and white. All of these photos are actual vintage photographs collected by the author. The photos in the book really help to pull you into the storyline. And is such a great touch. This is such a great read. I loved everything about this book. The storyline was amazing, the characters were all very interesting and well developed. I just loved the way it was written. While reading it was like i was right there watching everything happen. I really could not put this book down. The beginning was a bit slow but once it picked up it really picked up and i was hooked. I am not one who typically enjoys fantasy books but this one had me hooked from the beginning. Just know that the story will stop with you needing to read the next book so your going to want to have the entire series ready so you can just pick the next book up. I can not wait to start on the second book.

Spooky yet captivating!

This has to be one of my favorites. At first I thought this would be a creepy and thrilling novel. But then ended up with butterflies in my stomach falling in love with the characters and their peculiarity. Jacob and his grandfather has a close relation. Especially with a potent of his grandfather’s stories about him in the past. Where he lived in an orphanage on an island with peculiar people. He was also a soldier and fought evil monsters. Jacob was told stories and were shown pictures of his grandfather’s peculiar friends. But soon as he grew up coming to sense that they were all to be lies. Jacob and his family thought that his grandfather was paranoid and just making delusional fantasies concealing his ordeal. Until one evening when something dreadful happened to his grandfather. Before his grandfather died his last words were what lead Jacob to venture this journey to the island and to unveil the truth behind all his grandfather’s stories. #My opinion -About the story Seeing glimpses of the photos gave me goosebumps and not wanting to read it without anyone around. It was creepy to the fact that this was my first semi-horror? thrilling, adventure novel I read. For short, I’m new to fantasies. But this has to be one of the greatest plots and story lines I have read. I love anything that involves with time and I’m glad there is a sequel. -The characters Jacob’s character with his family seemed to be distant but his grandfather. His relations with the peculiar kids was amiable. I got butterflies in my stomach with Jamma (Jacob + Emma ♥️) #What I like about the book The story line and plot were enthralling. The characters are charming and captivating. I was a bit sad when it was coming to an end only to find out that there are sequels. THIS IS A MUST READ!!! #Before and after reading Before reading: seeing just the title Home for Peculiar Children made me think of X-Men and wolverine. But this must probably just the creepy version of that. I was a bit spooked by the photos and thought it would be haunting. I had thoughts and predictions on how the story line might be but I ended up being amazed. After reading: this is a recommendation to all those who love adventure, thrilling and fantasy. I thought it would be spooky till the end and yes I was thrilled. But it was a harmless spooky intriguing novel. I had predictions and expectations and I got served well. It’s a page turner, wanting me to quickly finish the book while not wanting it to end. #3 words: Story -Discover -Time -Hide #3 words: My feelings toward the book and character -Enthralled -Intense -Captivated Favorite word, motto or sentence: “Feeling caged without you.” “If all the suns but ours collapsed tonight, how many lifetimes would it take us to realize that we were alone?”

Wow!

At first I didnt think I'd like it because it's totally different from the usual books I've read! I seen the movie first and once I started reading it I was so disappointed in the movie everything has changed! Its beautiful and exciting!

Great beginning, kind of jumbled ending.

I thought the overall story was creative, but once it got to the end everything moved so fast!

I thought it was very interesting. Definitely better than the movie :)

Fun read

This is a very nice story that's fun to read. Doesn't get boring, nicely paced. It's got a few plotholes in my opinion but I guess that's up to the individual reader's opinion. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an easy, charming story.

Adorable

I absolutely loved the idea behind this story. The images really bring the characters to life. Such a wonderful page turner and I would recommend to children and adults.
