Great Companion for a tour of Burgundy

Generally excellent coverage, as usual from the Green Guide series. Some of the hotel, restaurant, and cafe suggestions included are useful supplements to the Red Guide listings. (It is useful, though, to cross-check the Green Guide hotel suggestions on the [...] web site, to ascertain such features as whether there is air conditioning, an elevator, etc.) There is a good, and very helpful, section of the introduction devoted to the history of the Duchy of Burgundy -- from about 1300 to 1500 a major player on the European geopolitical scene.
