Gross! Blood on the pages!

I wish I could review the actual book i have the first edition and was looking forward to an update after so many years. Frankly, I cannot even open the book. Blood on several pages and based on the prints, human. Someone who owned it must have a cut a finger. Very obvious. Cannot miss it, but the seller did. I can deal with mold. I can deal with damaged bindings and pages. I cannot deal with the risk of touching pages with blood. Like I said, Gross!

An invaluable instructional reference

This updated second edition of LAND NAVIGATION HANDBOOK: THE SIERRA CLUB GUIDE TO MAP, COMPASS & GPS could also have appeared in either our Sports or Military columns, but deserves mention here to be sure the widest possible audience receives notice of the completely updated edition including new text by Clyde Soles. Very Comprehensive and easy to understand

The book discusses in detail every technique that you need to know to become a very good land navigator. It explains very simply and clearly the different types of maps and compasses. Teaching the novice or expert basic and advance navigational techniques which are both simple and practical. So far this is the best book that I have read with regards to land navigation.
