A Must Read

OK listen, I dont care if this book is true or not, it's still a must read. The story of John Titor is major motion picture material. The whole concept of someone coming back in time to 1975 to get this IBM 5100 computer then jump ahead to 1998 to warn his parents of impending doom is just too good to pass up. Get this book!

Purported time traveler?

John Titor is purported to be a time traveler from 2036. This book is transcripts of his Internet chatroom communications while he was visiting the family of his childhood. He answers questions of many in the chatroom. He states that he was on a different timeline growing up but there are many things that are very similar in our timeline. He said he would be leaving in the spring of 2001 and his Internet communications ceased at that time. He makes numerous predictions of things that happened as he was growing up in his timeline. He also talks about the technology involved in time travel and a photos of his equipment are included in the appendix. Whether or not he is what he claims is a question each reader will need to decide for him/herself. Although many of the questions and answers are repeated I still give this book 5 stars, mainly because it is so unique. I tend to believe him since he seems to have a vast knowledge of things that are at the forefront of our current understanding. Unfortunately, since his timeline while growing up was not the same as ours, we cannot expect his predictions to be 100% accurate, but much of what he says seems to capture the essence of what is now happening in the world.

I have been mesmerized and obsessed by the John Titor story. "The Sleeper Must Awake!" The story places a mirror in front of us and allows us to look at our self as an individual, neighbor, community, state, country, and world. This story rocks your own individual world. You question your own values. What if...you have only 10 minutes to grab belongings and leave your home forever. What if...our world is destroyed - What have we learned in this life to survive personally and contribute to society for continuance. It doesn't matter if you believe in time travel or not. Yes, events are unfolding. We can make a difference in this world line. You will never be the same after reading the words of John Titor... real or not!!!

Can you say "probably true"

I don't know about everyone else, but I personally am starting to believe more and more in John Titor's story. Go over to johntitor.com for the full story, as well. But look, you all say it's a hoax. In 2001 he said that Mad Cow disease was coming to the US, and now it's here. An excellent read, and it sounds plausible enough. Even if it isn't true, it's an awesome read.

I am 100 percent positive that the family of the author is responsible for the books origin.I have kindly recieved the book for free in the mail from the author.They took a lot of effort and time putting all of John's postings together into a book and John's postings do seem accurate. The original questions were slightly reworded but John's answers remained the same. Its basically a question and answer book with pictures in the back and John's mother commenting throughout the book.I personally like having all of John's postings together in a book. It seems to follow the same pattern as what is on johntitor.com. But it gives me a physical memory of John.I don't have to go to the web to look up something he had said I can just go to the book. Its all arranged by dates.I like having everything in front of me in a book where I can highlight certain things if I want to.I don't know if John was a real time traveler or just a big hoax like people say. I don't think anyone has successfully debunked him till this day. I guess only time will tell.......-PamelaJohn's friend
