Robert Crais keep's you on the edge of your seat again.

" Elvis and Joe" in the second book are Great. Elvis is working for a lawyer doing background checks, but is everything what it seems? Are the good guys or the bad guys tampering with the evidence? This book keeps you reading to the very end.

Worth at least SIX STARS

My preferred genre is mystery and someone suggested I try Robert Crais. I methodically lined them up from the date of publication and each has been a treat. Elvis and Joe are the best. And then I read Sunset Express. ABSOLUTELY the best detective novel I have ever read. This book is more than good, it is a CLASSIC. Publishers Weekly named it as a "Best book of the year." No question about it. The only "negative" is that you finish it. I am not going to keep my copy, I am going to circulate it to friends. I don't want to discuss the plot, just go out and buy it and enjoy. I can hardly wait to go to the book store and get the next one in this series. Looking for you Elvis.

A great crime novel!

These Elvis Cole novels are always more than just detective novels. The characters are flesh and blood people, and the themes always resonate long after I've finished the book. I've read all of the Cole books, and am anxious for more! No one does it better than this!

Robert Crais Scores Big WIth This One

The next title in the evergrowing line of Elvis Cole novels sure is the best so far. Elvis is still his old wise-cracking self even with all the publicity he gets during this case. This has more than your fair share of plot twists and surprises while Cole takes his path down the twisting road of lies. This is a great read for anyone that is just getting into the Mystery genre or has been reading them forever. Pick this book up, you won't be sorry.

Investigating Crime in LaLa Land

This is my first Robert Crais book and I am impressed! I am tired of depressing detectives, equally depressing characters that they are tracking down, and boring descriptions of where it is all happening. L.A. is alive in "Sunset Express" and so are all of the characters. Looking forward to reading more about Cole's adventures/misadventures.

Elvis does "O.J."

Elvis Cole and his partner, Joe Pike, get embroiled in a situation in which nothing is as it seems and nobody is either as good or as bad as they seem. SUNSET EXPRESS is Bob Crais's return to the seedy and glamorous elements of Los Angeles and the similarities between this fictional mystery and the real-life O.J. Simpson murder case are chilling. Of course, if Elvis and Joe had been on the case, O.J. would be working on his prison tatooes iinstead of his golf swing!! When it comes to writing hard-boiled private eye stuff, Crais is one of the best, and Joe Pike is the coolest
