Beautiful Story of Friendship & Sacrifice

This is the first chapter book my oldest daughter read and she cried at the end just as I had (and my mom, too) years before. This timeless tale of a pig and the spider who saves his life is a "must read" for children.

Love this book--disappointed in what I got!

I did not get what I was supposed to. There is a page/pages with large sections completely missing. I was told the book was in good condition. It is not! I expect a good copy.

Still a great story

Every kid should read this book, it is one that will always be remembered with great affection.

I ordered this book because my sister used to read me this book when we were kids...and now I'm reading this book to my kids. I love shift books.

Touching

This is the touching story of a little pig from death by a girl who took pity on him and decided to rear him. The pig later makes friends with a spider. It's a great book for kids. A pity it is out of print. If you're looking for something similar (touching and amusing) try Winnie Ille Pu (Latin Edition), if you're up to something more daring and adventurous try Insula Thesauraria (Latin Edition).

This is the same book you read as a child but in a hard cover, with giant print. I am really happy with the high quality of this book.

Charlotte's Web, the Book Versus the Movie

Hi I'm Itselle and I'm going to talk about the book Charlotte's Web. You might have read the book or have seen the movie. I have done both and I have noticed that Charlotte's Web the movie and Charlotte's Web the book are different in some interesting ways. One way was when Fern found out that her dad was going to kill the spring pig because in the movie she saw her father with the axe going to the barn at night and she followed him to the barn but, in the book she asks her mom where her dad is going with the axe in the morning. I think the differences the book and the movie don't really matter that much. I think that because, in general, the same problems and events happend in the book and in the movie. I enjoyed both of them a lot. They both were very funny and sad at the same time, which I loved. I recommend the book Charlotte's Web to 4th and 5th graders and the movie to people who like kid movies. Itselle R. - St. Ignatius School, Bronx, NY
